Release Information: First stereo issue with "The Gramophone Co., Ltd." on the label, no small EMI logo on the label, and the drip at the end of Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast continuing into the runoff groove of the record (on a manual turntable, the drip will continue endlessly until the needle is lifted off the record).

Description: Gatefold cover.
Front Cover: A cow. Thin cardboard cover.
Inside Cover: In the lower left corner, it says "7010 TPS Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd Patent no 943,895 SHVL 781."
Inner Sleeve: Issued with a Harvest Records inner sleeve. Also issued with a plain white polylined inner sleeve with a hole for the label in the center. At the bottom in blue text it says "British Patent No. 800513 & 978939" on the left, and "Made in England" on the right. In the bottom center is a blue rectangle with "Plastic bags can be dangerous. To avoid danger of suffocation keep this bag away from babies and children."

THE RECORD HAS NOT BAD MARKS OR DEEP SCRATCHES, ONLY SOME FAINT HAIRLINESWHICH ARE MINOR AND ONLY VISIBLE UNDER A BRIGHT LIGHT.

I HAVE PLAYED THE RECORD ALL THE WAY THROUGH ON BOTH SIDES AND IT PLAYSVERY WELL WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.

All play checking made using aTechnics SL1210MK5 with Denon DL 103 R stylus and Valab TF-1 MC phono preamplifier.  I cannot vouch for other combinations

THE  ORIGINAL GATEFOLD SLEEVE HASMINIMAL EDGE WEAR / CORNER WEAR AND NO TEARS, RIPS OR SPLIT SEAMS. ON BACK ONLY SMALL DEFACED STAIN . SEE PICTURE.

RecordCollector Magazine's Grading Guide:

"MINT:The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks ordeterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyricsheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealedor Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT:The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very littlelessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/ or creasing.

VERY GOOD:The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no majordeterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and theoccasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items,without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: Therecord has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeablydeteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover andcontents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration,etc.

FAIR: Therecord is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displaysconsiderable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will betorn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: Therecord will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. Thecover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: Therecord is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as acollection filler."

As well asthe above grades, Near Mint is often used as well; this is really for a recordthat appears new but is known to have been played because the label has lightspindle marks or because it has come from a previous owner and is assumed tohave been played by them. For records which appear to fall between the acceptedgrades, + and - are also often added to the grading.
