Description
One of the later pressings but nonetheless this copy of Atom Heart Mother is in excellent condition. Under a bright light I can only see a couple of faint hairlines and it has obviously been very well looked after. It retains that glossy sheen of new vinyl and probably has not been played much at all.
I have play tested the LP and whilst there is a little background noise here and there it is in no way obtrusive and still plays very well. Side One does start with some crackle but soon disappears and plays with a rich deep audio with very little interference. I heard just one click during the playback. Side Two plays with just a little more static but still plays with very clear audio considering this LP is now 45 years old.
The G & L gatefold is in excellent condition with only minor shelf wear. There is a little rubbing on the top edge where the record has attempted to escape ! but is really only minor. Other than that the edges are extremely clean and it retains a strong wide spine with minor creasing. Overall in excellent condition with no marks or writing and the front, reverse and inside of the gatefold are superbly clean.
Play tested on my Technics SL-J110R turntable system.
