Description

For sale here is a fantastic copy of Floyds 1977 album release, "ANIMALS". 
This is a very special copy indeed.
According to the wonderful website "Pink Floyd Archives", the earliest recorded pressing of this album has the matrices A-2U and B-2U. Earliest mother / stamper combinations are 1 / A  and 1 / HG. This particular copy has the matrices A-2U and B-2U. The mother / stamper combinations are 1 / A  and 1 / OL, making it the earliest ever recorded. it also has the "Factory sample not for resale" sticker to one label.
The record is visually extremely clean, with no marks worthy of note. On playing, it has to grade as excellent plus (Ex+). Plays in almost complete silence. Obviously no skips sticks or clicks. Sound stage is wonderfully presented and plays with a clear, detailed and vibrant sound. This is a wonderful copy.
The cover is in excellent shape to. Just a mild hint of storage wear. Wide spine fully readable. Grades as excellent.
The inner sleeve is also in excellent condition. No rips, slits or tears.
The genuine tour programme is in very good condition. A crease to top right front corner and a couple of wear marks to the spine.
The coaster is brand new, unused and mint.
The additional artwork postcard is also in mint condition.
The included gel pen is new and unused. This pen depicts the iconic album artwork.
This is a hugely rare chance to own the earliest known pressing of this underrated album from Floyd. Also to have such stunning playback is a massive bonus. One for the serious collector and I recommend it most highly.
