Description

Pink Floyd rare Dutch 45 of Arnold Layne/If, Original Dutch Harvest pressing from 1971. Very rare and collectable amongst Syd Barrett fans and collectors!

Vinyl: EX+/NM condition

Harvest Labels: Mint (Green/Yellow labels)

Jacket: Very good+/excellent (slight scuffing on top area and light ringwear).

This is an ORIGINAL DUTCH HARVEST 45 SINGLE OF ARNOLD LAYNE AND IF BY THE PINK FLOYD!

Side Notes and History:i This is a rare Original 1971 Harvest Dutch 45 of Pink Floyd's ARNOLD LAYNE and IF singles. Arnold Layne was Syd Barrett's very first hit single with Pink Floyd (from there debut album "Piper at the Gates of Dawn). Arnold Layne was there first single that established them as a real British "underground" band. ARNOLD LAYNE has since been placed in the Rock Archives for Pink Floyd singles through time as an instant classic (and somewhat controversial) song about a transvestite that Syd Barrett was writing and singing about in it. Pink Floyd's Arnold Layne was also a defining vision and contribution to the earliest Pink Floyd recorded material ever released before Syd left the band for a solo career.  After Arnold Layne became a hit single - Pink Floyd's next single was "See Emily Play" which was Pink Floyd's 2nd hit single shortly after from that same first classic album "Piper at the Gates of Dawn".
