Description

On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Pink Floyd called "Dark Side Of The Moon" and is an INCREDIBLY rare UK 1973 'Earliest' 1st pressing on the ULTRA RARE 1st Press 'Solid Blue Triangle' Harvest label!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE ULTRA RARE 'SOLID LIGHT BLUE TRIANGLE' HARVEST LABEL - AND WAS ONLY EVER PRESSED ON THIS ULTRA RARE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS LABEL FOR A TINY AMOUNT OF TIME!!!!  FOR SOME REASON (MOST LIKELY BECAUSE THE TEXT ON THE LABELS IS HARD TO READ) - THIS LABEL WAS CHANGED ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER RELEASE TO THE STANDARD 'TRANSPARENT' TRIANGLE SEEN ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS. AS A RESULT FINDING A GENIUNE 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP ALSO HAS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS MATRIXES - ENDING IN A2/B2!!!!  LATER PRESSINGS OF COURSE HAVE HIGHER NUMBERS.  THE LABELS ALSO HAVE THE CORRECT 1ST PRESS 'GRAMOPHONE COMPANY' EDGE TEXT (LATER PRESSINGS DONT HAVE THIS), AND THE RECORD ALSO COMES IN ITS ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS 'POLY LINED' BLACK 'DIE-CUT' INNER SLEEVE WITH THE CORRECT 'SILVER TEXT' AT THE BOTTOM OF ONE SIDE (LATER PRESSINGS DONT HAVE THIS)!!!!  THE COVER IS ALSO A 100% GENIUNE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS COVER TOO - BEING DARK BLUE (SEE PICTURES)!!!!  AND THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT INDEED!!!!  ONLY A HANDFUL OF THE 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1ST PRESS COVERS WERE EVER PRESSED WITH A DARK BLUE COLOURED COVER - BEFORE BEING ALMOST IMMEDIATELY CHANGED TO A JET BLACK COVER!!!!  AND IN FACT - THEY ARE EVEN RARER THAN THE ACTUAL 'SOLD TRIANGLE' RECORDS THEMSELVES - AS THE COLOUR ON THE COVER WAS CHANGED EVEN BEFORE THE 1ST PRESSING RUN ENDED!!!!  INTERESTINGLY THIS COVER ACTUALLY HAS STRAIGHT EDGES TO BOTH ENDS OF THE GATEFOLD - BUT THIS COVER IS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT THE 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1ST PRESS COVER - AS THIS DARK BLUE COLOUR SIMPLY DOES NOT EXIST ON ANY LATER PRESSING (EVERY COVER PRESSED AFTER THE RELEASE DATE WAS JET BLACK)!!!!  THIS ULTRA RARE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING IS ALSO 100% COMPLETE WITH ITS ORIGINAL 2 COLOUR POSTERS, AND 2 STICKERS!!!!  IT ALSO IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THE STICKERS ARE ALSO GENIUNE 1ST PRESS STICKERS - BEING PRINTED BY 'FASPRINT' (LATER ONES WERENT)!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION OVERALL AND ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE SEEN FOR A VERY LONG TIME (MOST ARE 'TRASHED')!!!!  THIS IS THE 1973 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE ULTRA RARE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'SOLID LIGHT BLUE TRIANGLE' HARVEST LABEL, 1ST PRESS 'DIE-CUT' POLY LINED BLACK INNER SLEEVE, 1ST PRESS 'GRAMOPHONE COMPANY' EDGE TEXT, 1ST PRESS A2/B2 MATRIX ENDINGS, AND 1ST PRESS 'DARK BLUE' GATEFOLD 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AS AN 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING, AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! The Cat. No is SHVL 804 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Solid Light Blue Triangle' Harvest label (see picture) and is a 1973 Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO writing, NO wear, and only a VERY few spindle marks!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition overall!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and this LP really is a tale of 2 sides!!!!  Side 2 is virtually MINT - with only 2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines (only visible under EXTREME light) and NO other marks AT ALL!!!!  Side 1 however does have 4 or 5 visual scufflines/surface marks - though these are virtually ALL 100% NON sounding and completely superficial!!!!  The rest of Side 1 however is virtually PERFECT with only 2 or 3 ULTRA faint wispy scufflines!!!!  BOTH sides have NO scratches and NO hairlines and BOTH sides retain an AWESOME shine!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ALL OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!!  It plays with only a VERY few VERY light clicks/pops on one track (these do NOT last long AT ALL), NO jumps, NO sticks, barely ANY crackle, and only some low level background sound on the run on grooves and VERY quietest parts of the music!!!!  There is NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed) if not better (though one side is CONSIDERABLY better than this)!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press Black inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition and most importantly is UNSPLIT!!!! THE 2 POSTERS AND 2 STICKERS ARE IN SUPERB CONDITION (APART FROM A FEW VERY MINOR YELLOW SPOTS ON THE REVERSE OF ONE OF THE POSTERS) AND CLEARLY HAVE NEVER LEFT THE COVER!!!! The 'Earliest' 1st Press 'Dark Blue' Gatefold Cover is in STUNNING condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO ringwear, only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking), and NO writing!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated inside is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO ringwear, NO yellowing, and NO grubbyness!!!!  The cover MUST grade Excellent(Minus) and is INCREDIBLY hard to find in this condition!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS A GENIUNE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!

HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this MEGA RARE LP in this sort of condition!!!! THIS WILL BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO BUY AN ORIGINAL 1973 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING OF "DARK SIDE OF THE MOON" BY PINK FLOYD, IN BRILLIANT CONDITION OVERALL!!!!  Dont forget to take a look at all my other items including many other TOP LPs and contact me with any queries you may have.
