PINK FLOYD The Dark Side Of The Moon UK 1ST PRESS SOLID BLUE TRIANGLE IN TOP MINT- AUDIO & VISUAL CONDITION
Classic UK first press with solid blue triangle labels, complete with tint sleeve, posters & postcard stickers in stunning condition
Description:
An original UK first pressing of The Dark Side Of The Moon, released in 1973 on the Harvest label, catalogue number SHVL 804.
This is a genuine first press featuring the highly desirable solid blue triangle labels, with “The Gramophone Co. Ltd…” perimeter text and “Made in Gt. Britain” at the bottom and A2/B2 matrix.
The set is complete with both original posters and the two original stickers, all correct for a first press. Also includes the original black poly-lined inner sleeve.

In good natural light and also under direct strong and unforgiving halogen spotlight the record has a superb deep-gloss with no scratches or marks to report. A superb visual example of a difficult record to find in such condition. The labels are clean and unworn with 1 spindle line showing at least only a handful of careful plays. The disc sits completely flat on the turntable without warping or dishing. WOW!
Audio Grade: MINT-!
The playback is absolutely superb and has been play graded in full. Quiet lead-ins and between track and quiet during the many quiet sequences. No loud obtrusive pops, no repeat clicks, no incesant background crackle, and obviously no skips or sticks at this top grade. No factory skip on ‘Money’ as was the case on some of the 1st pressings. A real treat for fans of Dark Side of the Moon looking for a much sought-after high play-grade condition 1st UK pressing with 1st A-2/B-2 matrices and original and short-lived 'solid blue triangle' labels. DO NOT MISS!
Sleeve Grade: EXCELLENT PLUS!
The 1st press 'midnight blue' gatefold sleeve is in fantastic condition with only very light signs of handling. The spine is sharp, straight and unworn. Sharp unworn edges. Obviously no rips, splits, pen or stains throughout at this high grade. A fantastic 1st press 'midnight blue' tint sleeve.
Inner: EXCELLENT PLUS! Nice and clean obviously no splits, rips or stains, and the lining is fully intact. Superb!
Posters: Both NEAR MINT! Nice and clean and flat with no rips, stains, pen, or pin marks.
Postcard Stickers: Both 1st press stickers are unused, NEAR MINT!
