Description

An incredible opportunity to own a highly sought-after, vintage 1978 US Limited Edition Vinyl Picture Disc pressing of Pink Floyd's masterpiece, The Dark Side of the Moon.
This rare edition features the iconic Hipgnosis "prism" artwork on Side 1 and the classic "heartbeat pulse" rainbow graphic on Side 2. It comes housed in its original, vibrant die-cut marble-effect display sleeve, which frames the picture disc beautifully.

Matrix / Runout Details:
• Side 1: SEAX-1-11902 (Hand-etched) Stamp: MASTERED BY CAPITOL (Machine-stamped)
• Side 2: SEAX-2-11902 (Hand-etched) Stamp: MASTERED BY CAPITOL (Machine-stamped)

Condition Report:
• Picture Disc (Vinyl): Good+ to Very Good (Cosmetic Hazing present—please see photos). No deep scratches or nasty scuffs visible. Excellent edge definition. Important Note on Condition: > There is a distinct area of faint, milky cloudiness/surface hazing on Side 2 (visible in the top quadrant above the rainbow graphic under direct light). This is a very common cosmetic reaction seen on vintage 1970s picture discs due to prolonged storage inside the original PVC plastic inner sleeve (often referred to as "PVC outgassing" or chemical misting). It does not appear to be a physical scratch or deep scuff, but it is visible to the eye.(Please see close-up photos of the run-out grooves). It also appears to be on Side 1 near the purple edge of the rainbow (please see photos)
• Die-Cut Sleeve: In very good vintage condition. Bold, bright colours with minimal storage wear. There is a small puncture hole on the back of the sleeve.

Please review all high-resolution photos carefully to judge the cosmetic condition for yourself, as they form part of the description.
