Description
Released on Harvest/EMI, catalogue no. SVHL 804. This is the rare 1st Pressing, released in 1973 with the withdrawn Solid Blue Triangle labels, housed within a gatefold Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve. This has the "Gramophone Company Limited" label credits, and "The Gramophone Co Ltd" label credits around the rim. There is also the (p) 1973 credit. Matrix numbers etched into the vinyl are: Side 1:- SHVL 804 A-2. Side 2:- SHVL 804 B-2. All four inserts and the original black poly-lined inner sleeve are included. Both stickers are original with "PERMANENT" printed in red on the backings.
CONDITION: Vinyl appears excellent with a nice shiny surface and no scratches, although there are a handful of very light paper scuffs only noticeable under a strong light. It plays with a little light crackle, only noticeable in the quiet parts if the volume is turned up high - this may be due to static. The album cover shows some signs of wear at the corners and there is some creasing. However, the cover is the least important part of this package as a better replacement could be found very easily at a cheap price! The posters and stickers are in very good condition with no sign of pin holes or tape marks etc. I generally follow Record Collector's grading system but please see my "ME" page for a fuller description of my gradings. The pictures below were taken by me and are of the actual item for sale - they are not copied from other sources!
