Description

Up for auction is a rare original double LP by Pink Floyd - Delicate Sound of Thunder.
It was released in Canada in 1988 on Columbia Records, PC2 44484.

Sealed U.S. copies typically go for $150 USD but I could not find a record of a sealed Canadian copy having sold! There are currently no Canadian pressings for sale on discogs.com, sealed or otherwise!
This is your chance to get a sealed copy of a Canadian release that seems to be much more scarce than its U.S. counterpart!

CONDITION:

The records are sealed and presumed to be in mint condition!

The cover is in Excellent (EX)
condition with some edge wear along the lower right corner where there is approximately a 2 inch break in the seal. Please see the images for a close up view of this. Otherwise, I can not detect any other wear under the shrink!

SHIPPING COSTS: (In U.S. $)

2 x 12" Record to Canada = $15 expedited parcel with tracking.

2 x 12" Record to USA = $14 air mail, $24 with tracking & insurance.

2 x 12" Record International = $25 air mail

I always package records securely for shipment with outer sleeves, bubble wrap and sturdy cardboard packaging.

Rest assured that the record and cover in this auction have been described and graded honestly and accurately.

Message me if you have any questions or concerns.

GRADING SCALE:

I do not use the Mint grade. Even a sealed or brand new record can have minor flaws!

Near mint (NM) - Record looks like it was just opened and is in like new, condition. There are no visible or audible flaws. Cover should have have no visible wear whatsoever, as if it were just taken out of the shrink wrap or still in the original shrink with no visible wear.

Near mint minus (NM-) - Record is in very near new condition with at most, a very light scuff or two. Record should play like new with only the very slightest of audible surface noise. Cover shows only a trace of wear such as one slightly worn corner.

Excellent (EX) - Record is in great shape and looks seldom played. There may be a few very light scuffs but little to no surface noise should be present on playback. Cover should still look great with only very minor wear. Ring wear is not acceptable unless it is barely visible. Cover will still be glossy if applicable. No split seams or tears are acceptable. At most, a ½ inch or less break in one corner along the open edge is acceptable. No writing is acceptable unless it is very small and the rest of the cover is near mint.

Very Good Plus (VG+) - Record is in pretty nice shape and should play with only light noise, mostly noticeable between tracks. There may be some light scuffs and a few light surface scratches visible. Cover has mostly light wear that may include light edge/corner wear, light to moderate ring wear, some minor writing/staining and/or small seam splits.

Very Good (VG) - Record has been well played. It should play without skipping or sticking but with a significant amount of noise (hiss, pops, crackle, etc). Cover will be well worn with probable edge/corner wear, ring wear, light tears/staining, and/or writing/tape, etc. Full seam splits are not acceptable, nor is major wear from water damage, intentional bending, etc.

Good (G) - Record should play through but will more than likely have a high noise level. Slight skips are acceptable. Visually the record will most likely have a lot of scuffs and surface marks. Cover has significant wear such as seam splits, writing, heavy ring wear, stains, tears, etc. This is close on a seriously damaged cover, with the only unacceptable wear being significant tears, holes and major water damage.

Poor (P) - Record may not be playable. If so, there will mostly likely be a high noise level throughout. Visually the record is obviously damaged, warped, heavily scratched or possibly cracked. Cover is damaged and significantly worn with probable complete seam splits, tears, writing, water damage, etc.
