Description
Up for auction is
PINK FLOYD - PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN
TOWER RECORDS LABEL - Catalog #ST 5093
ORIGINAL 1967 FIRST PRESSING in STEREO - BROWN LABEL - A1 issue
THIS IS THE ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE FROM 1967.
Matrix of disc has the triangular "I AM" stamp indicating that this was pressed at the Capitol records plant in Scranton, PA - also has 5093-a1 & 5093-b2
These original issues almost never turn up this pristine as most copies were enjoyed.
Do not confuse this with the 'striped' color label which was issued from 1969-1971 after which time the record was deleted.
Condition: COVER is EXCELLENT / DISC is NEAR MINT
- see photos -
This is one of the cleanest copies of this Lp I have seen in a decade!
