PINK FLOYD

“EL LADO OSCURO DE LA LUNA”

(THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON)

WOW!!! MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original very first STEREO Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side Of The Moon” press released in Perú in 1973 by EMI/IEMPSA, catalog number ELD 02.21.257, matrix numbers: SHVL 804 A COP (Side 1) and SHVL 804 B COP (Side 2). Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND!!! And see the picture, this record is in superb condition!!! And remember we are very conservatives for grading our records…

“THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON” was, is and always will one of the best albums of all time, and this original very first press released in Perú in 1973, with laminated gatefold cover in the outside and inside is rare. In front cover is the prism with the name PINK FLOYD in white letters at the upper side and the title of the album in the bottom in Spanish: “EL LADO OSCURO DE LA LUNA”, with white letters too. In back cover is the inverted prism with the EMI/IEMPSA logos in the bottom and catalog number under the boxed logos. At the bottom you read this: “Industrias Electricas y Musicales Peruanas S.A.” and under that “Producto Peruano – R.I. 1423”. In front cover this early press has an error in the printing of the prism, it has like a cord waving!!! (See the picture).

In labels the title is in Spanish, “El Lado Oscuro De La Luna” and all songs are listed in Spanish but translated to English. In the inside is the lyrics for all the songs in English with the credits in English too. Labels are the typical brown-red EMI labels. This record was issued in thick and thin vinyl and this pressing is the thin one.

Yes, yes, yes… Here it’s a REAL FIND, another rarity from South America!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in EX- or EX condition, clean, no missing parts, a very little rip in the angle of the upper gatefold and very very faint ring marks. The record is in superb NM- or NM condition, glossy, clean and with only minimal light hairlines hard to see which don’t affect sound at all. Labels on both sides are in NM+ condition, absolutely clean and clear. The sound is amazing, it’s in superb NM- or NM, clear, loud, no background noise. It’s the best sound quality we have found for this record from Perú!!! Overall a record in an amazing condition, with a superb cover, a fabulous look and and incredible sound after 37 years!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

IMPORTANT TO READ

We are not responsible for all the taxes, duties, fees you could have to pay in your country, but I can declare the record as gift if you want.

If you have some doubt or question contact us, we will be glad to answer all that you want to know about this item.
