Description

Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my spare hard rock and progressive music records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!

On offer, an extremely rare Holland pressing of Pink Floyd – Meddle on the Harvest label, cat. no.  5C 062-04917 with the misprinted “Sold in U.K.” statement and NO EMI box on the labels. 

The record is in VG(+) condition, there are a couple non-sounding hairlines and there is a thin scratch on side 1 that starts at the end of track three and continues until the end of the side. This scratch produces a very soft clicking sound and most of it gets buried in the music. The labels are in EX condition, both sides have a coupe spindle marks only.

The cover is in VG to VG+ condition, there is some very light wear on the opening edge and in the corners and the spine has a couple tiny bald spots. Besides mentioned imperfections, this cover looks very presentable; no writing, no rips or tears or other unwanted damage.

This is an extremely rare copy with misprinted labels of Pink Floyd’s Meddle album. The “Sold in U.K.” statement should have been deleted from all U.K. EMI – group labels since the summer of 1969. This Pink Floyd album was released two years after EMI have deleted the “Sold in U.K.” statement from their record labels. But apparently there are were a few copies (not more than one hundred or so) made in Holland for the UK market with this statement. If that is so, this copy could be a very rare EXPORT pressing, and therefore this is a real must have for all Pink Floyd Collectors!
