Description
Up for auction is a nice, original copy of the Pink Floyd album Meddle, originally released in the U.S. on Harvest Records (SMAS 832) in 1971.
-Guaranteed original pressing -Original deep groove Harvest labels -MASTERED BY CAPITOL stamp in deadwax
-Original paste-down gatefold cover w/ matte interior -Heavy inflexible vinyl -No UPC/bar code on cover
Condition: Cover is very nice, with only minor signs of wear. No significant ring wear on front or back. No seam splits. Top seam shows some rubbing loss (see photo). Edges show some rubbing. Bottom left corner is creased (see photo). Interior is clean, light age. Overall, an attractive, colorful original. Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+)
Vinyl looks very nice, too, still retains its original shine. Under a strong light, a few light, superficial marks and hairlines show up, but nothing serious, nothing that affects the quality of playback. Labels look clean.
Play-Tested: I've spot tested this record, and the sound quality is excellent. Has a hint of pressing noise on the run-in grooves, but once the music kicks in, it fades out. Generally clean and clear full-bodied sound. Not audiophile perfect, but none of these original pressings are. A very nice sounding original. Grade: Excellent (EX), better than typical VG+ copies
