Description
Pink Floyd Soundtrack from the film “More” SUPER-RARE EARLIEST 1st press LP 1969, in top condition, played only a few times by the original owner and never played since 1981. The record has no scratches or marks and appears close to MINT if not just MINT and sounds as new MINT, and the labels are perfect, with only very slight spindle traces.
The matrix number endings are 1G and 1G making it the EARLIEST 1st press!! The condition is astoundingly good!
The EMI inner sleeve is near MINT with no splits or tears, but is discoloured at the sides with age.
The 1st press flipback Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. sleeve is flat, clean and has the front only laminated, with trivial glue failure to the rear seam at the top, typical of this era, and easily re-stuck, but not really separated anyway. There are some light handling creases visible on the laminated front around the top left corner, the laminate typically does not cover the opening edge of the sleeve (see below), and there are adhesive or glue lines on the back edges or seams from the factory manufacture, which have discoloured a little. The only signs of use are a small bit of wear on the back near the opening edge from where the record sits in the sleeve (ring wear) and a tiny amount of edge wear at the opening on the front where the laminate did not reach (visible in the photo), affecting the bottom corner when the record was filed away, but I’m being picky.
The photo on the back has the 1st press only “west-facing” hippies, and is tinted green. The sleeve is most people’s EX-, I’ve described it and taken photos, so judge for yourself! Check my feedback!
It’s a REALLY, REALLY RARE LP, and overall is a superb copy! Possibly the best you will find in a long time! It must be worth £40!! Don’t miss out!!
Check my other auctions and feedback. I try to be accurate with my grading, and most people say the LPs are better than described. If I get it wrong, a refund is available, including postage costs. You can’t go wrong. I ship worldwide, and at as near to cost as possible. I use professional packing materials, from recycled supplies, and refund any over payment in shipping if it happens.
