LABELS: The first Harvest labels are clean, bright and unmarked with less than a dozen light spindle traces - EXCELLENT
VINYL Visual: Both surfaces retain their original deep, glossy sheen with just some light brush marks form the inner sleeve - these have no audio consequence - the playback is superb - EXCELLENT
VINYL Audio: Outstanding playback and audio reproduction. Pink Floyd's soundscapes cover an amazing dynamic range from the loudest crescendos to the almost silent ambient details which makes it difficult to find early pressings which will play well, but this copy sounds incredibly impressively throughout. On careful playback at a loud volume (which is how I always listen to my LP prior to listing and it's always a great pleasure to return to this one) there are no scratches, no skips/jumps, barely any clicks (really, hardly any at all) and just a light touch of surface noise on the lead-ins and on some (not all) of the quietest passages - nothing I found at all intrusive. Otherwise, the album plays beautifully to a very, very high standard with no groove-wear, no distortion, sounds wonderful and is critically graded a very strong EXCELLENT for audio - very fine copy indeed
SLEEVE: The original textured gatefold is in stunning condition. Its been kept inside a plastic gatefold cover all its life (which has taken all the wear) so the cover is MINT with crisp, square, sharp and unworn edges and spine - where all text is as clear and bold as the day it was made. The textured surfaces have no rubbing and the whole cover looks and feels as-new - just about the finest original sleeve I have seen
The Harvest inner sleeve is also in great condition with no splits, just some light discolouration caused by the adhesive used to fix the plastic lining - EXCELLENT
