ORIGINAL UK 1972 EMI HARVEST RECORDS .
This is an original first and very earliest UK pressing of Pink Floyd`s 1972 masterpiece OBSCURED
BY CLOUDS. As you can see this is a FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE Pressing. These Factory sample pressings are IMPOSSIBLY RARE TO LOCATE and are done made in minutely small numbers and ALL OF THEM are made for the RECORD INDUSTRY ONLY ! They were NEVER intended to find their way outside of the record factory walls !!! Their sole purpose is so that they are to be used as a quality control guide 'and used to check the quality control of the record product that is going to be sold DIRECTLY to the general public. Because FACTORY SAMPLE PRESSINGS, are the FIRST runs pressed it is believed that the sound quality is superior because the pressing plates have not become fatigued by the repetition of pressing thousands of copies. So they are highly prized by serious collectors. Once the quality is checked acceptance has been given as cleared , and up to standard, then the go ahead is given to start the first run of "STOCK COPY RECORDS" to be pressed and sent into the record stores for sale to the general public.
The Textured sleeve is in sleeve EXCELLENT + condition flawless all round front top right corner it has a FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE sticker . The spine is in EXCELLENT condition and all spinal writings can be read clearly.The vinyl has a superb new look high luster sheen indicating not much play at all. Only under a bright spotlight you can see a few really light wispy hairlines from taking the record from its inner sleeve over the years but play back to both sides is amazing. No skips jumps or sticking anywhere. This record plays superbly ALL THE WAY. So, lets be very clear as to what we have here. This UK FACTORY SAMPLE pressing is the earliest possible and precedes any of the pressings that go into the shops. And for those reasons they are so highly prized by the most SERIOUS and the HARDEST
OF THE HARD record collectors. A rare record and a rare opportunity.

All my records are housed in Mobile Fidelity Mastering Sleeves. This prevents further paper scuffs marking the vinyl when removing the record from the original inner sleeve and prolongs the condition of the original inner sleeve .
