This is for: PINK FLOYD, PIPER AT THE GATES OF DOWN, original UK first pressing STEREO on Columbia Blue/Black label, SCX 6157. Despite common believe, the stereo issue is much, much rarer than the mono one. Every week you find one or two on ebay, but if you're lucky you'll see once or twice in a year the stereo, and certainly not a copy like this one.***
Well, I never graded an used record as MINT, because I never believed a 37 years old fantastic record like this could be unplayed, but now time has come I set apart my usual sober description.*** I got ahold of a bunch of other precious gems in similar shape and advice to look at my other next auctions... This Floyd album is simply incredible: visually and aurally absolutely NO FAULTS WHATSOEVER, it's SIMPLY PERFECT, the best copy you can dream to find! The cover is still thick and intact as it came out from the factory, the lamination is perfect, and the non laminated back is still super clean. Original EMI inner is brand new. Labels are super clean, features the K & T code, and the spindle hole is still intact. The vinyl shows no signs to have been played at all, except for my test. Matrix # XAY 3419-1/20-1, as it must be. It still had vacuum when I first got out from the inner!!!
***At play test it plays MINT, ultra deep sound with the seminal floyds stereo effects. This record is AMAZING, ABSOLUTELY NO FAULTS THROUGHOUT, neither the minimal noise other than the music. I repeat, this copy is SIMPLY PERFECT, and it's extremly hard (me and) you'll ever see again one like it. I usually don't put a reserve price but this is one of the most important rock albums ever, and being in this fantastic shape deserves an appropriate one. sorry. For this auction, insurance required.
