I’ve dealt in rare records for over twenty years and have waited that long to be able to offer for sale such a superb condition copy of this particular album! This is the impossibly rare 1st original UK Mono pressing of THE PINK FLOYDs legendary psychedelic debut album ‘THE PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN’ on Columbia! EXCELLENT+ Vinyl / EXCELLENT Front laminate flip-back sleeve (Mega rare 1st UK pressing with XAX 3419-2 / XAX 3420-1 stamped Matrix numbers. Vinyl plays superb throughout and yes, you do hear amazing differences to the more regular stereo version. There are incredible sounds coming out of Rick Wright’s organ on ‘Interstellar Overdrive’ that I have simply never heard before; mind blowing stuff! The sleeve has no defacement or damage and still looks superb. All the edges are smooth and the spine is still firm with clearly legible text. There are three tiny staples down both side openings which may have been used to hold on some form of cover protection; they are barely noticeable and on the plus side whatever protection this sleeve has had in the past has done its job because this remains a stunning looking original piece. So hard to find in this superb shape).
