Genuine 1st press Mono in excellent condition. The sleeve includes the text: "File under POPULAR : Pop Groups". The vinyl has its original high sheen and well cared for. Under bright light, just a few light hairlines are visible.
Here is a genuine piece of musical history - an excellent copy of Pink Floyd's first ever LP!
This has the following 1st press matrix numbers and mother stampers:
Side 1: XAX 3419-1 1 H
Side 2: XAX 3420-1 1 L
Detailed description
Vinyl:
The vinyl looks great and has retained its original bright high sheen, with just a few hairlines visible. Good clean audio with no jumps or clicks.
Labels:
Both labels look superb with just very light spindle marking, suggesting that the record was not played very much. The side 2 label also has the KT tax code stamped near the centre hole.
Sleeve:
This is an original, complete example with the text: "File under POPULAR : Pop Groups" printed on the top flip-back. It is very clean with no damage at all, writing, splits, tears or stickers etc and just light signs of use.
The spine is solid and firm and the text is all 100% readable, light signs of use at the opening and minimal wear at the corners.
Inner sleeve:
Original black and white earliest EMI advertising inner sleeve. No splits, tears or damage, just minor signs of age and use.
