On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Pink Floyd called "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" and is an INCREDIBLY rare 1967 UK MONO 1st pressing!!! THIS LP IS VERY HARD TO FIND AND RARELY EVER TURNS UP!!!! IT IS VERY HARD TO FIND ANY MONO 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP!!!! THIS IS THE 1967 1ST MONO PRESSING ON THE BLUE/BLACK COLUMBIA LABEL, WITH 'SOLD IN THE UK' TEXT, A 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND A 1ST PRESS 'E.J.DAY' FLIPBACK SLEEVE!!!! SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLY RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! The Cat. No is SX 6157 on the 1967 1st Press Blue/Black Columbia label (see picture) and is a MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are Pure quality Pink Floyd at their best!!!! Any fan of Pink Floyd, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection - especially in this condition!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition with NO wear, NO writing and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in GREAT condition!!!! Most of these LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and is in GREAT condition!!!! The record has NO scratches, only a few light hairlines, a few light scufflines, and only a few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! THE RECORD STILL HAS A 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING (if not better) as the visual!!!! The record plays with only a VERY few clicks/pops (only a VERY few), NO jumps, NO sticks, NO hiss and only some slight crackle places - though this is always low level and most of the record is virtually CRACKLE FREE!!!! The record must visually grade Very Good if not better (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed) - though the playing grade is better still!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve!!!! The 'E.J.Day' 1st Press Flipback Laminated Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edgewear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a few light creases (Cover is still VERY flat looking) and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in STUNNING condition with barely ANY yellowing AT ALL, NO writing, NO rubbing, and NO grubbyness!!!! However there is one thing to mention on the back of the cover. On the top right flipback there is a sticker tear (on the flipback ONLY) - and an impression (NO actual writing - an impression ONLY) of a previous owners name. There is also some minimal grubbyness in the same place. I am guessing that there must have been sticker with a name on it that must have been removed at some point in the distant past. Clearly with the grubbyness on the sticker tear it happened quite some time ago. However it is on the white flipback ONLY - NOT the grey part of the cover. There is also an impression ONLY (NO actual writing) of the original '37/6' price on the top left flipback - and a tiny mark (probably again from a sticker removal - though this mark is MUCH smaller and absolutely TINY). The cover must grade Very Good if not better (without the sticker and small mark on the top flipback - this cover would get a MUCH higher grading)!!!! THIS LP IS EXTREMELY RARE AND VERY HARD TO FIND!!!! DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE LP!!!!
HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this MEGA RARE LP in this sort of condition!!!!
