Description
The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (Columbia Records mono issue)
Columbia Records SX 6157 (Mono pressing)
Side A: XAX 3419 - 2 1
Side B: XAX 3420 – 1 GP
This has been play-tested and runs great with only some very minor static crackles in the track separations. Would benefit from a clean to bring out the best in the audio clarity, but played through my Project turntable and Wharefdale speakers it really sounds stunning!
Vinyl: VG. Bright and shiny but in the light it does have a fair amount of surface marks. This does not affect play. It’s just old and well played.
Front Cover: Good condition, with some of the usual lamination creases. A small amount of wear on the lower right corner.
Rear Cover: Good condition. Flipback is intact and no separation. Some writing on the top left and some rubbing out of what looks like a price sticker. Otherwise all good.
Inner Bag: Possibly not the original – this one is just a plain paper bag.
Labels: Very clean - logo is bright and with just a few very minor spindle marks.
Please be aware that this is not in mint condition. You’d be looking at £1,000+ for one in tip-top condition, so the price is relative to its condition. Buy this as an entry copy and wait until you can afford the upgrade, which is what I’ve done!
