Released in the UK in 1967 on the Columbia black & blue label with silver text, Cat.No.SX 6157. Here is the ORIGINAL 1st MONO pressing!! This is the original UK MONO 1st pressing and is NOT a re-issue, counterfeit or cheap later repress!!

This really is a fabulous item. The iconic 'Kaleidoscope' front laminated sleeve is a beautiful Excellent near Mint example. The lamination is still shiny and bright, the corners sharp, no creases, rips, folds, tears, splits or writing. Just a few very tiny lamination ripples near the spine and top edge to report. The rear is totally clean too with only minor age discoloration. The LP is also in a similar superb Excellent condition. If you look hard under a strong light you can see a few very faint and light wispy hairlines and paper marks, non affect the playing in any way at all, the record plays superbly and perfectly with crystal clear sound throughout!! A truly magnificent Excellent condition example of this truly iconic British 60s psychedelic album. One of the cleanest in existance and probably the best on offer today. Whether you are upgrading or acquiring for the first time I am sure that you will not be disappointed by this truly fabulous original vinyl album. Comes with correct 1st pressing 1967 original EMI advertisment inner sleeve. I am the first and only owner of this fabulous record which I originally purchased in the late summer of 1967....WOW, that's now 42 years ago!!! It will be very sad to see it go, time moves on though and I'm sure it will be well cared for and loved by the lucky person who wins it!!

NOTES

Here is another more than interesting original 60's vinyl gem from my own long time private collection.....An absolutely fabulous ORIGINAL UK FIRST MONO PRESSING of the PINK FLOYD'S iconic and seminal 1967 debut album "THE PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN" featuring the one and only SYD BARRETT at his absolute best before his very sad and well documented burn-out!! This is an original first pressing on the Black & Blue Columbia label and as you can see from the pictures the sleeve is without the "FILE UNDER POPULAR: POP GROUP'S" reference usually found on the rear right-hand top flip-back showing this to be a 100% genuine first print issue sleeve!!! Now as we all know this original UK album in MONO is a "MUST" especially for collectors of 60's freak-beat and psychedelia and of course serious Pink Floyd fans. As collectors know only very rarely do you see a decent copy of this iconic LP become available (most are buried away deep in collections). If you have been holding on or hanging back for one to come along, well!!...Wait no longer!!! Here is one of the finest copy's to appear on eBay in quite a while! As you can see in the pictures the sleeve is beautifully clean and square with NO seam splits, NO writing or ring-wear even after over 35 years in storage!! The record is pressed on original thick heavy quality British 60's vinyl and is exceptionally clean with only a few of the absolute lightest paper marks and very faint hairlines visible close-up under a harsh light. The sound quality is simply AWESOME as you would expect, BRIGHT, LOUD AND DISTORTION FREE with a clarity of sound to die for!!.....This is one musical experience not to be missed!! If you don't have a "MONO" copy of this record or if you are looking to up-grade your old worn out one here's your chance, go on do yourself a favour and BID! BID! BID! YOU DESERVE IT!
