PLAYGRADED: not simply glanced at with a superficial visual grading, fully played and graded throughout (listened to on headphones - the most revealing playgrade method, with no exterior audio distractions)

Good looking vinyl with numerous light hairlines/sleeve removal marks/scuffs visible and a few superficial surface scratches that have very little effect on playback. A well played copy but still plays reasonably well overall.

Side One: audio is consistently VG if not a little better on the louder tracks. There is light background crackle throughout which is nearly obliterated on the louder tracks but it is faintly audible. A good listen that may improve with a deep, thorough clean to remove some dust from the grooves. Excellent tone and volume throughout on this very first UK pressing.

NOT ONE SINGLE POP OR CLICK!

Side Two: plays nearly as well at the start of Side Two with just a little more hiss and crackle at the beginning of "Interstellar Overdrive" which is more audible in the quiet-ish ambient dissonance sections. Improves quite a bit on "The Gnome". Rest of the side plays pretty much the same, with the louder sections as VG, quieter sections with more audible background noise. Quite a well played copy...but still rare and collectible none the less.

NOT ONE SINGLE POP OR CLICK AGAIN!

Plays right through with no jumps or sticks.

OUTER SLEEVE:

Original very 1st press laminated flipback sleeve made by EJ Day with the correct date code of 6709 (September 1967) in stunning condition, I've never seen one as good as this as most usually suffer with laminate creases and look quite tatty. The flipbacks are very clean and in superb condition (they are usually quite worn and often torn - this one is not)This has just the faintest hint of an couple of laminate creases that are actually quite hard to see. There is virtually no ringwear. The back is clean and not aged, just a very small patch of wear to the black print in between the track listings. Overall, I would say it is the best sleeve I've seen and certainly very hard if not impossible to find in this condition given the age.

The edges are unworn, the spine is legible and not flattened, the opening edges are still very crisp with only one slight dent to the opening edge, the corners show NO bumping and NO wear. Superb example. Looks and handles almost like new. Incredible.

LABELS:

Excellent, NO graffiti but quite a few spindle traces.

INNER SLEEVE:

Plain white.
