This is the rare 1st Press of 'Saucerful Of Secrets' by Pink Floyd, and is the essential Stereo press This extremely rare press is complete with the first 1/1 matrix and the early 1G/1R mothers and stampers. The blue/black Columbia label has the essential 'Gramophone Company' and 'Made In The Gt. Britain' text and has the publishing credits under the last song title.
The record is complete with the Stereo 'Patents Pending' laminated flipback Garrod & Lofthouse, Hipgnosis sleeve and the original EMI advertising inner sleeve.
Vinyl
The record is in VG++/EX condition. The vinyl has a high gloss, there are only a few very light hairlines on side 2 that do not affect the great audio.
Labels
The blue/black Columbia labels are completely clean. The blue is vivid and the black is unworn. The silver text is perfect and there is only lightest spindle wear.
Sleeve
The laminated 'patents pending' flipback Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in VG+/EX condition with very minor edge and corner wear. The black is bold, the colours are vivid and the white is crisp and bright. The laminate has a bright mirrorlike shine with just a couple of light creases and a little corner/edge wear and creasing. On the back the flipbacks clearly state the essential earliest 'Patents pending' text and the stereo SCX 6258 catalogue number. The flipback's are complete and sealed. The black has only very slight wear and is still very bright. The spine is firm with clear text and only minor creasing and corner wear. The whole cover feels solid.
Inner Sleeve
The record comes complete with the earliest 'Patents Applied For' EMI advertising inner sleeve.
