Pink Floyd took over a year to perfect this incredible concept album, from the first live performance in Brighton on January 20th 1972.
They had already recorded some astounding great records - but this is especially outstanding indeed - a great leap forward!
On release in the first week and a half, the initial pressing had sold very quickly, and the reaction was ecstatic - the only complaint was that the SILVER TEXT of the song titles couldn't easily be read against the shiny LIGHT BLUE SOLID TRIANGLE background!
Harvest Records took note, agreed, and took action for the next pressing - a bordered triangle with a fading blue edge.
NOW the titles were easily read, and the lables were printed this way thereafter.
This is in quite decent shape, and as a 1973 first edition of this historic lp, it is a great quality pressing.
It's notably a fantastic recording, and they established the band's identity across the World with this album.
It's a true MILESTONE in modern music history!
This is the VERY FIRST pressing.
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades VG++, playing wonderfully.
Blue Triangle Lables are EXCELLENT as shown.
The original GATEFOLD Cover grades VG+ having some scuffs from handling.
The left face is sealed, as was with most first print copies.
