The original UK release from PINK FLOYD, their most ambitious recording, and now recognised as one of the greatest albums ever made!
It took over a year after the initial composing and live performances, to hone this complex concept into it's acceptable completion - I was at their very FIRST performance of it, and this was to be much changed over the following year.
Now, the initial issue had that light sky blue lable and came in a custom black lined paper inner sleeve - but noting that the silver text was extremely hard to read, it quickly got this revised lable for the following pressing!
They stopped including the black inners, and the 'triangle' was now an outlined black - making the text easily readable!
Both of these first UK lables lasted only a matter of a couple of weeks, before the high demand saw the pressings increase - on to actual YEARS in the charts!
Here's a rare SECOND ISSUE with the "Made In Gt. Britain" text under the triangle.
ONE poster is present, with both stickers too.
Everything is in nice shape.
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT
Nice shine! A couple of light marks visible under bright lamp.
All Lables are EXCELLENT, no stains, stickers or pen. Clean and bright and with the "The Gramophone Co" text.
The original black GATEFOLD COVER is in EXCELLENT shape, a little wear only.
A solid clean example!
