Description

On sale here is a UK first pressing of the iconic 1979 album from Pink Floyd entitled "The Wall". This has the amazingly early matrices of A2/B2/A1/B2 (these are the second earliest ever recorded). It comes complete with both lyric inner sleeves, and all in stunning condition.

This a beautiful, well cared for and little played album from my personal collection. I can find little to fault with either the cover, inner sleeves, or vinyls . This is one beautiful example.

So a few details on the album itself.............................

(All gradings are strictly to "Record Collector" guidelines. Shown in detail below).

The cover is very very clean for such a creamy white colour. No shelf wear to edges or spine. The bricks are outlined in a light purple and misaligned to the bottom edge. Nice wide undamaged spine and just 2 small "dings" to the opening front edge of the gatefold. Quite simple to grade at EX+.

The inner sleeves have the long 9" thumb notches and the lyrics on them. There is no damage to any of the seams from the edge of the discs. There is a slight disc impression starting to form in a couple of spots, but nothing too noteworthy. No problem grading these as EX+.

The vinyls are really stunning pieces. Nothing visually of note bar a handful of whispy sleeve removal marks. Nothing that impacts on the sound quality. Labels are clean and show little or no sign of play, maybe just 2 or 3 spindle marks per side. Visually grade as EX+.

The audio performance is real classy. Detailed and vibrant. There is minimal background evident in only the very quietest passages. These discs are about as clean as I have ever seen on a copy of this album. I have no hesitation in grading the sound quality as EX+.

So a top, top example of this awesome album. The mega early matrices and a beautiful cover, inners and vinyls. Don't miss it!
If you have any questions at all, please just let me know.

Please note. My postage charges for overseas buyers is an estimate only, for "signed for" delivery. If it costs less than my estimate I will refund the difference in full (as all my previous buyers will testify to, I'm sure). I have never, and will never try to make a profit on shipping costs. You pay exactly what it costs. No more!

I have a large collection of Pink Floyd albums for sale (including many rare live albums). Just send me your email address if you would like a complete list. Any questions please just ask.
Also check my feedback for previous delighted buyers of my quality vinyl (apart from one con-man who falsly tried to get a part refund for non existant damage, who very kindly left me a negative feedback after I offered a full refund, but not a part refund! He kept the album by the way!!!). Any bidders using this tactic will get a full refund (including postage) or nothing. Use the system, don't abuse it! Any questions? Require more photos? Please just ask.
Please note that the above vinyl has been play tested and graded according to "The Record Collector" guidelines. These guidelines are listed for your information below:-

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler."

As well as the above grades, Near Mint is often used as well; this is really for a record that appears new but is known to have been played because the label has light spindle marks or because it has come from a previous owner and is assumed to have been played by them. For records which appear to fall between the accepted grades, + and - are also often added to the grading.
