This final upgrade archive pressing plays with immaculate audio and comes complete with a lovely gatefold and perfect lyric sleeves.

The vinyls are in beautiful, immaculate condition the likes of which are rarely seen on such an early pressing.  They look 'as new' such is their visual quality, the glossy jet black sheen is just stunning.  I cannot detect any obvious hairlines and there are certainly no scratches.  The cleanest 'Wall' I have seen in a long time.  Only played once or twice at most there is only a tiny spindle trace on a couple of the labels.  Absolutely stunning!

Play grading  

S1 plays with stunning audio from start to finish.  With no intrusive interference it is a remarkable listen and without doubt hardly played.  The quiet intro on 'In The Flesh' has barely any static and then plays with Mint- quality the audio is so impressive.  'The Thin Ice' plays in exactly the same way, this is stunning audio to say the least!  The incredible quality prevails throughout and 'Another Brick In The Wall part 2' is a sublime example of this.  Whilst adhering to RC standards this is Mint- but quite honestly the playback is Mint it is that good!  'Mother' has some light ticks on the intro and one pop on the '...president' line but this is the only 'background' on the entire side.  The final two thirds easily grades as Near Mint the clarity is exceptional, just a mild hint of static literally at the end.

'Goodbye Blue Sky' has a little intermittent static but it is very much in the background and non-intrusive in my opinion.  I just write what I hear to give an honest grading and many would not classify this as interference.  It is so quiet as to be negligible and remains a high quality listen.  'Empty Spaces' is stunning and has only 3/4 mega quiet dust ticks and 'Young Lust' is quite simply Mint- the quality is 'high end'.  The remaining tracks do not disappoint either.  The lightest of static on a couple of intros but again it does not intrude on the quality of the listen.  'Another Brick In The Wall part 2' is another Mint- track and 'Goodbye Cruel World' ends the side with impressive audio and only a modicum of light static, no clicks or pops.

'Hey You' is absolutely stunning and is the 'cleanest' version I have heard in a long time.  The clarity is just exceptional and for the first few grooves to have no obvious interference is a rarity let alone one that is nearly 40 years old!  A superb listen that cannot be improved upon.  This is Mint!  'Is There Anybody Out There' has a couple of pops but looking closely at the vinyl I cannot see why so may be a pressing fault.  The remainder plays without fault.  'Nobody Home' resumes the Mint- quality in sublime fashion.  The rest of the side is stunning and 'Comfortably Numb' in particular is 100% mind-blowing!  The depth and power on offer here is just immaculate.  There is no 'background' and the quality is Mint from beginning to end and the iconic guitar solo plays loud and true with none of the distortion that you sometimes hear.  What an awesome end to the side.  Wow!!

The clarity that exudes from S4 is in a word...immaculate.  The depth and clarity on this side is just astonishing and from the first note onwards there is no 'background' of any kind.  I would not be surprised if this side had never been played and without doubt the best I have ever heard.  I cannot emphasise enough just how well this plays and even the super quiet tracks 'Stop' and 'Outside The Wall' play with sublime clarity and no obvious 'background'.  A faultless side in anybody's opinion.

In summary this is a final upgrade archive pressing the audio quality is that good.  With astounding clarity the music across all four sides would be nigh on impossible to beat.  Hardly played there are a couple of pops only and very little static and what with a very impressive gatefold and superb inners this would grace any collection. 

The Gatefold

For such an early pressing this gatefold is in very impressive condition.  The edges are wide spine are in fantastic shape with no shelf wear at all and the opening edges have hardly any handling wear.  This cover is notoriously difficult to keep clean due to its 'white' nature but this one has retained its original look superbly well.  There is very little discolouration, just a minor amount around the edges I would say and there are no markings anywhere to be seen.  The inside of the gatefold is in superb condition and is mega clean to say the least.

As per all the early pressings the gatefold is cream coloured and has misaligned bricks.  The band members are also not listed on the inside.  A great example of this iconic gatefold.

Lyric sleeves

They are both in near perfect condition and have no splits or marking at all.  The first one has a tiny 1cm area on the bottom edge where it is wearing this but it is most definitely not a split.

The labels

Without doubt these vinyls have been hardly played.  There are only a couple of mega small spindle traces on a couple of the labels and they remain in perfect condition with no marking or writing.  You won't find cleaner!  Even the run out grooves are spotlessly clean.
