ORIGINAL UK EMI (7243 8 28984 1 2) FIRST PRESSING (March 30, 1994) OF PINK FLOYD'S FINAL LP "The Division Bell" - IN BARELY PLAYED CONDITION (one/two plays max)
THIS IS ONE THE HARDEST TO FIND FLOYD LPs ON VINYL - AS SO FEW OF THEM WERE PRESSED - there are many later coloured vinyl editions - mostly fakes, emanating from Eastern Europe - BUT THIS IS THE ORIGINAL UK BLACK VINYL RELEASE
AND SIMILAR TO "THE WALL" THIS IS A NOTORIOUSLY POORLY PRESSED RECORD - MANY COPIES HAVE PASSED THROUGH MY HANDS OVER THE YEARS AND THIS IS ONLY THE THIRD ONE I HAVE OFFERED FOR SALE AS THEY HAVE INVARIABLY ALL PLAYED WITH EXCESSIVE SURFACE NOISE, CRACKLE AND CLICKING - AND EVEN THOUGH THIS COPY DOES DISPLAY THESE PROBLEMS TO SOME (MINOR) EXTENT IT RANKS AS ONE OF THE FINEST (if not the finest) I HAVE HEARD (see detailed assessment below)

LABELS: The labels are clean, bright and unmarked with only one (possibly two) light spindle trace evident - this copy has clearly barely been played - MINT-
VINYL Visual: Both surfaces retain their original deep glossy sheen and are practically unmarked - there are some wispy light hairlines caused by movement of the LP within its inner sleeve but these have no audio consequence - NEAR MINT
VINYL Audio: A usual the soundscapes Pink Floyd create are incredibly impressive with an astonishing dynamic range from the almost silent ambient detail to the loudest crescendos and on this copy all frequencies are bright and clear and the audio is strong, rich and lusciously warm. On playback at a loud volume there are actually no major audio issues of note (which, as I have already mentioned, is incredibly rare for this LP) and it plays to an exceptionally high standard throughout. There is the occasional light click/pop (nothing continuous and nothing I found at all intrusive) but there is none of the common crackle/surface noise which is so distracting on virtually every other copy I have heard. Overall, an exceptionally clean example of this beautiful LP which is very critically graded a strong EXCELLENT (+) (Side One) / EXCELLENT (+) (Side Two) - in my opinion, this is just about as good as it gets
SLEEVE: The original (thick spine) gatefold cover is in EXCELLENT- condition - there is some creasing to the spine and light wear to the top and bottom edges and a tiny patch of paper loss on the front where the original price sticker was probably removed (please see close-up photos) but otherwise it's good, square and solid with a nice deep glossy sheen to both the outer and inner surfaces
INNER SLEEVE: The lyric inner has some mild handling creases but is otherwise, clean and unmarked with no splits to the bottom or side edges - EXCELLENT+
