HERE WE HAVE A SUPERB, UK HARVEST (SHDW 411) GENUINE FIRST PRESSING (November 30, 1979) OF PINK FLOYD'S OUTSTANDING DOUBLE LP SET, "The Wall"

BOTH RECORDS ARE IN ONE/TWO PLAY, EXCELLENT+ CONDITION (impossibly difficult to find in much better playing condition than this as anyone who has tried to locate a mint copy will know) (see detailed audio assessment below)
THE FIRST G&L GATEFOLD COVER (Cream, Non-Aligned Purple Outline Bricks, One Single Join, No Band Credits) IS CLEAN, SHARP AND FRESH AND IS IN MINT(-) CONDITION
THE TWO, FIRST ISSUE LYRIC INNERS (Rounded Corners, Tan Inside, Credits and Catalogue Number on ONE Single Line) ARE NEAR MINT

THE WHOLE SET HAS POSSIBLY BEEN PLAYED JUST ONCE OR TWICE AND IS IN ABSOLUTELY SUPERB CONDITION - JUST ABOUT THE BEST AUDIO YOU ARE EVER LIKELY TO FIND FOR THIS TROUBLESOME LP AND AS A GENUINE FIRST PRESS i.e. WITH THE EARLIEST ARE RAREST INNERS WITH THE CATALOGUE NUMBER PRINTED ON ONE LINE AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER FIRST PRESS CRITERIA - VERY SCARCE

SPECIAL CRITERIA WHICH MARK THIS COPY OUT AS THE EARLIEST FIRST ISSUE:
Front Cover: Gatefold sleeve. Printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. The sleeve is cream coloured, not true white (as with later issues), with the brick outlines in purple (later, Blue) and not completely aligned to the bottom edge (as with later pressings). The cover is made from a thicker cardboard construction than on later printings and is made of ONE SINGLE THICK PIECE OF CARD with only ONE join on the top edge. The ONE single join is a sure way of making sure you have a first press sleeve. There is also no barcode on the back cover (unlike the later mid-80s pressings)
Inside Cover: The credits on the inside cover do not list the members of Pink Floyd. It only says "Words and Music - Roger Waters."
Inner Sleeves: Heavy cardboard inner sleeves, printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. with rounded corners and a nine-inch thumb notch. The insides are untreated and tan in colour. As the original pressings these inners have just the catalogue number of the specific record listed on a single line in the lower right corner of the inner sleeve (see pics)

LABELS: The record labels are in BEAUTIFUL condition. CLEAN and BRIGHT with NO wear, NO writing and only one/two of the LIGHTEST spindle traces on Record One and NO evident spindles on Record Two. THIS COPY HAS POSSIBLY ONLY EVER BEEN PLAYED A COUPLE OF TIMES
VINYL Visual: Both records are visually STUNNING and look AS-NEW with their original DEEP, GLOSSY SHEEN. TWO BEAUTIFUL UNMARKED RECORDS
VINYL Audio: Pink Floyd's soundscapes cover an AMAZING dynamic range from the loudest crescendos to the almost silent ambient details and to find a copy of "The Wall" that will play in anywhere near MINT condition has, in my experience, proved virtually IMPOSSIBLE as even "MINT" looking copies can still play with lots of clicks/pops and surface noise and it has been incredibly frustrating in all my years on eBay, as I have tried to find the best copies of this wonderful LP to offer you, that I have been unable to find one which plays in what I would consider anything even approaching NEAR MINT condition - but this copy not only LOOKS STUNNING AND VIRTUALLY MINT but it plays ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFULLY FROM START TO FINISH with hardly ANY of the problems I have ALWAYS encountered on this LP
The audio delivery here is absolutely SENSATIONAL – BEAUTIFULLY RICH, SHARP and CRYSTAL CLEAR. Both records play to an impressively high standard with TREMENDOUS CLARITY, NO distortion and NO groove-wear (its hardly been played) but most importantly it plays with hardly ANY of the common first press problems i.e. excessive clicking, popping and surface noise during its many beautiful, delicate, quiet passages. There are some (inevitable) light ticks but these are extremely minor and I must stress that EVERY SINGLE COPY I have EVER heard has these to some extent or another. This copy plays BEAUTIFULLY THROUGHOUT and is ONE OF THE FINEST first pressings I have ever offered for sale. DELIVERS AN ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING LISTENING EXPERIENCE ON EVERY FRONT FROM START TO FINISH and must be very critically graded as EXCELLENT+ for audio and a finer copy of this LP I do not think you will ever FIND
SLEEVE: The original gatefold cover is in BEAUTIFUL condition. Practically AS-NEW and as CLEAN, CRISP and FRESH as the day it left the pressing plant. The spine area has two (very) light creases (being extremely critical here) but otherwise an OUTSTANDING sleeve and a finer first press sleeve I do not think you will find. MINT(-)
INNER SLEEVES: The 2 lyric inners are also in BEAUTIFUL condition. Again, practically AS-NEW - CLEAN, BRIGHT, SHARP and FRESH with NO marks. Both inners have record pressure to the bottom edges but the vinyl has not 'knifed' through the card. Both LPs are now housed - and will be posted in - new inner sleeves to prevent any 'knifing' damage to the originals during transit. I cannot emphasize enough how rare these very first issue inners are. Many, many first press copies of this WONDERFUL LP have passed through my hands over the years but it is difficult to find these elusive earliest inners and to find two which are not split at the bottom is incredibly rare
