Description
This is a second pressing of Ummagumma albeit on a later run and is without doubt one of the best I have seen. The vinyls are extremely clean and I can only see one hairline of any note on Side Two although it does not affect the audio quality. Indeed both vinyls look hardly played such is the sheen they still retain.
Side One and Two both begin with some crackle but this soon disappears and from thereon plays with a distinct clarity with just intermittent static. With no pops or clicks the sound is of a high standard. If anything Sides Three and Four play even better with less static and often sound like new. For such an early pressing it would be difficult to find one with better audio.
The laminated gatefold is in stunning condition with very little wear. The edges, corners and spine are in superb shape. There are no marks anywhere and it's no exaggeration to say this is best one I have seen. There is just a little handling wear on the second opening edge but that is the only shelf wear to be found. This gatefold is nigh on perfect!
On this pressing both 'London' and 'Set The Controls...' are spelt correctly
Play tested on my Technics SL-J110R turntable system
