Visual grading

This double vinyl LP has hardly been played as there is only a minimal amount of spindle wear on each side and they both retain a stunning glossy sheen.  The first vinyl has perhaps a few more faint hairlines than the second but it is still in great condition.  S1 does have three tiny 'dots' that does have an affect on the sound for a few seconds but overall these vinyls are extremely clean and as I say, only lightly played.

Play grading  

'Astronomy Domine' has stunning audio overall with only a little static on the intro.  There are about 7 clicks during the very quiet mid section which is a shame as the remainder does play with such great quality.  'Careful With That Axe, Eugene' plays with Near Mint quality without a doubt, it is an incredible version with no intrusive 'background' at all.

'Set The Controls...' is very impressive and has only very light intermittent static.  For such a quiet track you expect some 'background' but it is minimal here, just light dust ticks really.  This is the best live version of 'A Saucerful Of Secrets' I have heard on this album.  There are so many quiet sections and yet there is only the lightest of static here and there, barely audible to be honest.  The clarity and depth of the sound is breathtaking.

S3 again has just a little more static during 'Sysyphus' but it remains an excellent listen and there is certainly no persistent crackle.  I grade honestly as my feedback testifies and I am still confident in grading it as Ex+.  'Granchester Meadows' plays with immaculate audio and is Near Mint if not better.  'Several Species...' grades in the same way, you will not hear better.

The audio on S3 again is of astounding quality.  'The Narrow Way' plays with a depth and resonance I have rarely heard, a fantastic version.  'The Grand Vizier's Garden Party' equals this which is high praise indeed when you consider how quietly it plays.

Cover

The G & L gatefold cover is in excellent condition with minor shelf wear only.  The edges and corners have a little rubbing and the spine has one tiny scuff in the centre.  The cover itself is very clean with no markings (just a few light scratch marks that can only be seen under a certain light) and the inside is in great condition.  The opening edges have very light handling wear only.

Inner sleeves

They are both in wonderful condition with no splits or tears and barely any creasing.

The labels

The yellow green labels are in superb shape with barely any spindle wear and no marking/writing at all.
