This classic album plays with excellent audio which is graded as below and includes the postcard and the original inner with the cropped corners.

The audio on S2 is Ex (N/Mint in many sections, 10 second section on 'Shine On...' VG)

Visual grading

S1 has some hairlines and two more obvious short ones that have no bearing on the audio.  There are a similar number of faint hairlines on S2 and also a small 'spot' which does have an affect on the sound for about 10 seconds.  There isn't too much spindle wear so I do not think it has been played too much.

Play grading  

S1 plays with stunning quality and the long 'Shine On...' intro plays with exceptional clarity and only very light static in a handful of places.  Once the vocals begin the track continues to play with 'high end' audio and hardly any 'background'.  Wonderful sound.  'Welcome To The Machine' does have some light static at the beginning but then plays with very impressive audio and no interference.  The warmth and depth of the sound on this side is of exceptional quality and has no clicks, pops or jumps at all.

'Have A Cigar' on S2 plays with stunning Mint- audio.  Just a couple of static sounds at the beginning but incredible quality thereafter.  'Wish You Were Here' has some light static here and there but nothing that is intrusive.  Overall it has superb audio and the final two thirds in particular play in spectacular style.  The intro on 'Shine On...Part Two' does have some dust ticks and faint static hiss and after about 1.5 minutes there is a 10 second section of swish type clicks.  After that the audio is stunning with no other intrusive 'background'. 

Cover

The cover is in excellent condition with only minor shelf wear.  The edges and thin pinched spine have no wear and the corners have only a minimal amount of rubbing.  There is a little creasing on the two right hand corners.  There is also light ringwear on the front cover with some minor fading around that area with similar on the back cover.  The opening edge has hardly any handling wear.  Overall this is a perfectly acceptable cover that has not suffered any serious wear like so many others. 

Inner sleeve & Postcard

The original sleeve has the three cropped corners as per the first pressings.  It is very clean with only a couple of very faint marks and just one one small split on the bottom edge.

The postcard, with serrated edges, is in superb condition with no wear.

The labels

They have no marking/writing and not a great deal of spindle wear.
