Wish You Were Here A4/B10 + Postcard
This obviously isn't a first pressing but is an early one nonetheless as was one of the first pressed after the A1 pressings. This includes the postcard and to say the audio plays with immaculate audio is an understatement!

Visual grading
This vinyl is absolutely stunning to look at...and listen to for that matter! It has an incredible glossy sheen and has hardly been played as there is only a minimal amount of spindle wear on each side. S1 has even less than S2. Under a strong bright light I cannot detect any hairlines at all and there are certainly no scratches. No small marks either it is just visually immaculate.
Play grading
The 'Shine On...' intro plays with absolute stunning clarity. There is just the faintest hint of static here and there but it is hardly worth mentioning really as it just so much in the background as to be negligible. For such a quiet section it plays with stunning audio. I turned it up loud and the clarity is first class and whilst I did hear two clicks about two minutes in this is the only interference of any note. I could not find a scratch or piece of dust even causing the two pops so perhaps it is a pressing fault but then again perhaps a professional clean will remove them. Once the guitar 'kicks in' the audio is just sublime and it matches the quality of the A1/B3 pressing I am also selling. It practically plays as new the depth and precision of the sound is that good and the lack of any background noise is just an incredible rarity on any pressing let alone one this early. In fact even with the two clicks I'm happy to grade this side as Mint-. This immaculate quality continues through to the end and even the quiet ending of 'Shine On...' and quiet beginning of 'Welcome To The Machine' is an audiophile's dream! This track also plays with a clarity that is just second to none and apart from 4/5 of the softest of 'ticks' in the final section the ending plays with wonderfully clear audio also. Phew, what an incredible listen!
There is no lead in static prior to 'Have a Cigar' so you just know it is going to play with high end audio again...and it does not disappoint! Without wishing to exaggerate it plays to Mint standard. The 'radio broadcast' ending and very quiet intro to 'Wish You Were Here' play with immense quality, just Mint there is no other grading for it. For a section so quiet as this to play without any 'background' on a vinyl of 40+ years is practically unheard of. The remainder of this classic track plays as Mint also and is most definitely the best version I have ever heard. Wow! 'Shine On... (Part Two)' is just Mint again, there is no other way to describe it. I honestly think it would be nigh on impossible to improve upon the clarity, depth and warmth of the sound on offer here. I so rarely grade as Mint when the album isn't sealed but this side deserves that accolade. And yes even the quiet fade out plays 'as new' without interference. This is just quality audio at its very best. As I said before an audiophile's dream!
In summary this is an incredible, genuine final upgrade early pressing of this classic album. A museum copy if ever there was one. I listened to every second of the quality audio and it is just spine tingling! I sell and listen to a lot of Pink Floyd records and this is up there with the best I have ever heard. Apart from the two pops on S1 this audio is of the highest standard possible and as my regular customers know I am not one to exaggerate. It is absolutely stunning and any Floyd fan/collector would love to have this in their collection.
Cover
The iconic cover is in excellent condition and the top edge and thin pinched spine have no shelf wear and the bottom edge only has the faintest of rubbing. You have to look very closely to spot it! The corners are also remain in great condition. Whilst the front and back cover are very clean and free of any writing or scratching there is some 'greying' around the edges caused by ageing I would say. If it had been kept in a pvc sleeve this would not have occurred but how many people in the 70s/80s did that?! The opening edge has hardly any handling wear.Lyric inner
This inner sleeve with rounded corners is in superb order. There aren't really any negatives! There is just a hint of ringwear and a couple of tiny creases but most sellers would not even mention this. There are no splits to any of the sides.
The labels
They are both in perfect condition with no markings and only a minimal amount of spindle wear.
Postcard
The postcard (with serrated edges) is in perfect condition with no marks or creases.
