Wish You Were Here A6 / B13 + Postcard
This early pressing is a final upgrade archive version for sure. It plays as Mint and is quite possibly the most impressive I have ever heard. It is 100% sensational! This has maybe never been played, just once at most such is the stunning quality.
Along with a couple of others I am selling it was cut by 'Harry T. Moss', the famous EMI mastering engineer, and his initials are etched into the run out on S1. You can see why he was so well respected, the clarity and depth on 'his' vinyls are second to none and on a vinyl that has been so well preserved (such as this one) you can really hear the difference.
The cover, lyric inner and postcard are all beautifully clean, basically the whole 'package' is in superb Mint like condition. It may not be a first pressing but it is still an early pressing nonetheless and it would be nigh on impossible to find a better example.

Visual grading
This is visually perfect as well as audio perfect! It is in fantastic condition and as stated has perhaps never been played before and has been so well kept down the decades. It has retained a beautiful mirror like glossy sheen the likes of which you hardly ever see on vinyls of this age. There is no spindle wear and I cannot detect any hairlines and there are certainly no markings or scratches. It is 100% stunning! The labels and run out grooves are also untouched and super clean. You will not find a better early pressing than this! Absolutely stunning!
Play grading
The mega quiet intro on 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Part One)' plays so well with only the odd very quiet static sound and certainly nothing that is intrusive. The clarity is astonishing plus the more it progresses the better it gets! This is one of the most superb intros of this classic that I have heard in a long time. So often it is plagued by interference but that is not the case here and when the first guitar comes in the audio is Mint it truly is spectacular. As it ends there is a touch of static but again it is very minimal. It then plays with stunning sound and if I'm honest it could not play with any better clarity, it is practically 'as new'. The guitar solos are breathtaking and there are no clicks or pops at all and on this entire opening instrumental section there are only a small number of non-intrusive light static sounds. The first vocal section is 'high end' and again plays with Mint quality audio. There is just no interference whatsoever and I am pleased to say it continues in exactly the same way and the clarity and sonic quality is awesome. Each vocal section plays with Mint quality and the following saxophone solo is just immaculate! Audio just does not get better than this! Of all the Pink Floyd albums this is the one that is most difficult to find in near mint/mint condition but we have one here! And in fact I have not heard this track play so well on such an early pressing for years! To the very last note this classic plays with sublime quality and the segue into 'Welcome To The Machine' is nigh on perfect. There is barely any static on the intro and again the clarity is mega impressive. Once the vocal begins the clarity does not diminish, the odd mega light dust tick, but nothing intrusive. As it continues the audio is without doubt of Mint quality and this again this is the most impressive version of this track I have heard in a long time. There is quite simply nothing that detracts from the stunning audio on offer and even the end section plays with hardly any static, just a minimal amount. One thing worth pointing out is at the end of the 'cocktail party' you can hear what sounds like two popping sounds (mini moog?) and a very quiet cough. I have never heard it play so clearly and it certainly isn't on all the pressings. It just gives you a another idea of the superb clarity here.
S2 has no obvious lead in static and then 'Have A Cigar' plays with the same quality as per S1 and is easily deserving of a Mint grading once more. There is just no interference whatsoever and what is also so impressive is the segue into the radiophonic section of 'Wish You Were Here'. The clarity is absolutely stunning and as we all know this section so often has static/crackle. I just cannot believe how clear the audio is here! It plays with fantastic precision, no clicks, no pops, no crackle and no static either. This really is audio of the highest standard imaginable! This continues into the acoustic section - a small number of barely audible dust ticks but this still grades as Mint in my opinion. It plays so much better than the more recent reissues - more depth, definition and warmth without doubt. This superlative quality continues throughout the vocal and to the very last note on the track. I don't wish to repeat myself but you could not find a better version of this classic. Ok it's not on a very first pressing but it's still on an very early pressing and one in this condition is very rarely found today! The 'wind blowing' section at the beginning of 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Part Two)' is superb with no 'background' just a handful of mega light dust ticks which certainly do not classify as interference. Barely audible again! The long guitar solo is breathtaking and has no distortion on the top end and the vocal then plays perfectly. The same can be said for the long instrumental section that follows and is Mint audio of the highest standard yet again. There is no interference to be heard and it plays with 100% clarity to the very end. So often this quiet ending has some static or crackle but there is nothing here that is intrusive. Wow what an album!
In summary this is another final upgrade archive early pressing that I am selling. In all honesty I am not sure I have ever heard this classic album play with such impressive audio. It is plainly obvious this has been only played the once and perhaps not even that! I repeat there is no spindle wear and the vinyl is visually perfect also. As you can hopefully see from the photos the cover is nigh on perfect as is the lyric inner. They are beautifully clean to say the least! The often missing postcard is in fantastic shape also. A 'high end' version for certain. Mint all the way!!
The Cover
This G&L cover is about as good as it gets, it is absolutely superb! It is no exaggeration to say that it is almost 'as new', it has been incredibly well preserved down the years. The edges and spine have no rubbing or marking and even the corners have no wear! The same can also be said for the opening edge. The front cover is so clean and so white it has obviously been kept inside a pvs sleeve all its life. It has no marking. There is just one mega tiny crease top left and another bottom right but quite honestly this can be found on new covers and this one is from the 70s! The back cover is equally as good and has no marking. This is certainly the cleanest cover I have seen in a long time and is a fantastic example of its kind. Totally stunning!
Picture / Lyric sleeve
The lyric inner with the rounded corners is in 100% perfect condition, I have never seen a better example.
The Labels
They are both in perfect condition with no spindle wear and no writing/marking. There is a faint crease line on S1 but this was obviously caused during the manufacture.
The Postcard
This is also in perfect condition with no handling wear of any kind.
