A Rare & Archival Copy of:
PINK FLOYD’s
Seminal pressing of:
Wish You Were Here
IN
SQ-QUADraphonic!
1976* | UK | Harvest Records / EMI | Q4-SHVL-814
*released roughly a year after the stereo pressing.
VINYL LOOKS TO BE NEW | UNPLAYED | PERFECT!
SPECIAL NOTES:
· A QUAD pressing CAN BE PLAYED ON A 2-CHANNEL STEREO SYSTEM! In fact when doing so you will hear a somewhat different overall presentation & mix with quite a few pleasant anomalies. If you are a fan of this release then you do not want to miss this different mix!
· The previous owner was a collector and a picky one at that. Due to the fragile condition of the shrink the previous owner had chosen to tape it to the cover and IMHO he did a fine job! He somehow found tape that matches the shade & tone exactly of the blue shrink used. Take a look at the up-close pictures I have taken.
· The QUAD pressing came with 2-different Inner Sleeves. One with ROUNDED corners and one with CUT CORNERS. This pressing has the ROUNDED. Both have a 9” Cut-Out.
· The ORIGINAL & EARLIER pressings came with a postcard that has the Q4-SHVL-814 printed the back. The later pressings included the standard issue card that came with the Stereo pressings. This pressing has the Q4-SHVL-814.
· Please note the close-up shots of the labels and you’ll see tiny flecks of vinyl around the spindle hole! It’s simply has not been played.
