I have booked Holiday from work from 23/07 to the 31/07 and won't be available for any Ebay activity.I shall stop listings which end near this period,but any of you slow payers will have to understand,I won't answer Emails or despatch items,I won't be here.I'll still type listings,so when I return expect shed loads of records for sale in August,If you fancy a few I'll combine package to reduce postage.Please don't be one of the people who ask 'How much do you charge for 2 or 3 or 4 items?' I don't overcharge,I pack well,I don't use postage to rob you.I can't accurately say an exact amount,it depends on weight and package needed.Sellers who say things along the lines of 'Add £1 for each extra LP'probably have made enough profit on postage that they can easily do so and be covered.£1 is probably fair,I would probably charge around the same,but remember,I could easily keep most LP's below 500g in weight,have an attractive postal rate of £2 or less,but leave out stiffeners or PVC sleeves,and your lovely valuable record could arrive with 4 creased Corners,possible broken Vinyl and we leave mutual bad feedback.Not a road I want to travel,I pack well,I have some great return coustomers,many of whom are now friends.

This record comes from a collection of over 500 LP's I have just bought.As I only want to keep around 50 of the records,I want to get the rest sold fast.Unless otherwises stated the records are visually inspected only.Any problems with sound quality,please Email for a full refund before leaving Negative feedback please.

Also,I may make mistakes in the Catagories I list the records in,sorry if this is the case,many records I am not familiar with,there is a very wide mix.Watch out for my Job Lots of around 75 records at a time,As soon as I get good strong boxes this is how I intend to shift much of this collection as I really don't have the room.

Description Of Item For Sale: The Very 1st Pressing of the 1968 second Pink Floyd Album.Matrix Numbers are:

Side 1:XAX 3633 -1      G.(G is positioned at 2.30 on a watchface type position,I believe this denotes that the record was pressed from the first MOTHER STAMPER..

Side 2:XAX 3634 -1       G.

I was looking at other Pink Floyd Albums on a website called Popsike.com. This site shows prices for completed listings of rare records from all internet auction sites(well worth a look).Some sellers made a point of pointing out a missprint on this record which mine has.I am sure you know that the Pink Floyd man is Dave Gilmour.On this record it is spelt wrongly as "GILMORE" on both sleeve and label.Maybe a geeky thing,I don't know,but worthy of a mention,maybe it was changed later.

Condition:

Sleeve- Excellent/Excellent+.Front Laminated.Not creased,clean,no splits or stains.Has N.Simmons written in blue biro on the rear though.A very sturdy sleeve,has fared well in it's 39 years.

Vinyl- Excellent.Lovely and glossy,no deep scratches.There are some light surface paper marks,I think possibly made by cleaning,or just removing from the inner,not bad,but upon close inspection you will see them.Plays lovely.I played side 1 whilst trying to get my Digital camera working,heard nothing bad whatsoever,perfect,but I was not concentrating too well.

Next I played side 2.There are a couple of thumbprints on the first track,and it is possible to make out a bit of crackle as the needle passes this point.It is not scratched and I dare not clean as this is suck a rare and valuable record I would prefere to leave it to the experts.It still played and did not stick or jump,bur I need to tell you as this record is worth lots I don't want anyone unhappy(and I do refund in full if I have told any lies,had to do it once only,we both ended up happy,I don't cheat people)

Labels- Excellent,clean but with light spindle marks.This Vinyl has been played but looked after.

Innersleeve-Very Good.I suspect original,as Patients applied for.Not very yellowed,but it came in a PVC Sleeve(included)Not creased,but has 2 sellotape repairs on the bottom.It is plain white with a viewing hole,no polyliner.

Extra Items,e.g.Poster,Insert-NONE.

I am sending in a Wrapper type mailer,better than a 12" Card Mailer,with 2 stiff card stiffeners.Weight is high,cost is fair.If you want cheaper and are happy for damage in the post,please ask.Also,I recommend postal Insurance or compensation.Item weighs 500g and options are available on Royal Mail.Com.I,ll change invoice to suit,collection is always welcome.

All Items are Graded As In The Record Collector 2006 Price Guide,in Brief these grades are as folows:

Mint-Unplayed,sealed or as good as an unplayed undamaged item,.

Excellent-Some signs the record has been played,very little lessening in sound quality.Cover/Packaging might have slight wear/creasing.

Very Good-Been Played many times,no major deterioration in sound,despite noticeable surface marks,occational light scratch.Normal wear & tear on the cover or extra items,without major defect is acceptable.

Good-Played so much,used so much,sounds bad,many problems such as splits,stains etc.

Fair-Just Playable-not nice.
