This is an auction for probably the rarest Pink Floyd item there is available, Pink Floyd In The Holy Land The 70's.
This 3 LP box set was not an official release, as it was produced by a record store in Israel using officially released Israeli LP Pressings of Atom Heart Mother, The Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here. This set has also been found with the LP Meddle which was used instead of Atom Heart Mother and is included in this set.
This was a limited edition release with only 100 copies ever made. This came originally with a box, 3 LPs, 2 inserts and a pink baseball cap. This set has the 3 LPs and one insert, which is the Pink Floyd Israeli Discography and of course the all important box.
To try and explain how rare this item is somewhat difficult, as you can imagine this was sold from one store in Israel and with only 100 made given to friends and colleagues only. The fact that one has surfaced here and comes with the 3LPs, box and the important discography insert is truly a first. Then to find it in near mint/mint is never to be repeated.
This was made by CBS records in conjunction with Portrait records, as stated this was never officially released and thus has no catalogue number.
Condition: The box has some curving to the mouth but is otherwise superb. The picture and spine are all perfect, there is no discolouring or scuffing to this box, all corners and edges are fine. Please check the pictures for clarification.
The insert is mint and pictured on supersize.
The three sleeves for these records do show slight signs of wear with The Dark Side sleeve having perhaps the greatest amount of fading. That said they are all complete with no tears etc, again please check the pictures, graded VG+ to Near Mint.
All LPs come with there original inner sleeves which are in fine condition.
The vinyl is simply like new on all sides. I have checked the labels under a very bright light and only on two sides can any spindle trails be seen at all, the vinyl has no scratches whatsoever and other than the occasional dust mark are completely new. The vinyl for this is graded from Near Mint to Mint. Harshly down-graded because a couple of sides have been played a few times.
So to sum up- 1 of only 100- Sold from one Israeli store- Never officially released- In Near Mint/Mint- with box, insert, 3 LPs. I am not one for over hyping my items but I think I can safely say this is your only chance to own this item, no Pink Floyd collection complete with out it and in collectors condition too.
