Description

This is a 1st pressing copy of “Meddle” by Pink Floyd, released in 1971 on the Harvest label (SHVL 795). It has a Garrod & Lofthouse designed gate fold sleeve, which is textured inside AND outside, and an original Harvest bag.

 

I would grade the outer sleeve as “Excellent Plus”. There is no edge wear and the spine is legible, square and clear. There is very minor wear to the 2 corners at the mouth of the sleeve. There are 1 or 2 very small creases to the bottom edge of the front cover. There is some slight flattening (not uncommon with this earlier and lighter cover). The inside is clean and strong. There is no ring wear.

 

I would visually grade the disc as “Excellent“. It has a very good shine and only 1 or 2 visible scuff marks.

 

I would grade the labels as “Excellent”. There is very light rub wear, no spindle wear and no other damage (see photos).

 

The original Harvest anti static inner sleeve I would grade as “Very Good Plus”. There is some spotting and age-discolouration as well as some minor creasing but no damage.

 

Matrix: Side 1 – “SHVL 795 A-1U” stamps “2” and “CR”              

                           

Side 2 – “SHVL 814 B-1U” stamps “2” and “L”

 

 

Classifications are in accordance with Record Collector Magazine’s Record Collector Grading System and are possibly slightly pessimistic compared to some other sellers/collectors.
