Description

This is a very nice early UK STEREO pressing of Pink Floyd's debut 'Piper at the gates of dawn' on the blue & black Columbia label. The mono is always desirable but in my experience early stereos are much harder to track down and this one is in very nice shape. It has been in my collection for many years and is well looked after. The front laminated sleeve, printed by EJ Day is in EXCELLENT condition, just a few small laminate creases to the front and minor bruising to one corner. The back is nice and clean, just a few light signs of age. The flipbacks and spine are fully intact. 'File under popular' is printed on the top right hand side. The labels are nice and clean with just some light wear around the centre hole. The vinyl itself is lovely and shiny with just a few light hairlines to each side visible under very strong light, also graded EXCELLENT. The playback is superb too, there is some light crackle just at the very start of 'Astronomy Domine' & 'Flaming', but otherwise the audio is pretty flawless throughout, a great listen. Comes with its original EMI advertising inner.

Matrix info: Side 1: YAX 3419-1, stamper P at 2 O'Clock.  Side 2: YAX 3420-1, M at 3.

I have been a collector for any years and a now selling most of my vinyl to fund a change of career. All records are thoroughly cleaned on my ClearAudio Smart Matrix machine and then carefully played on a Rega Planar 3 deck with Goldring cartridge. I use strict RC gradings with plus and minus to indicate variation and all records are sent out in professional mailers. I offer a full refund minus return postage should you not be satisfied with how I've graded a record.
