THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR THE SECOND LP RELEASED BY PINK FLOYD IN 1968 IN THE UK ON THE COLUMBIA LABEL CAT NO SCX 6258. THIS IS A GENUINE FIRST PRESS IN STEREO ON THE BLUE/BLACK COLUMBIA LABEL WITH THE MATRIX YAX 3633-1 AND YAX 3634-1 IT HAS THE EARLY MOTHER STAMPERS 1H AND 1P.
THE VINYL IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH A LOVELY SHEEN. THERE ARE A FEW LIGHT SUPERFICIAL MARKS TO BOTH SIDES BUT I AM HAPPY TO GRADE THEM AS A CONSERVATIVE VERY GOOD. THE LABELS ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH A SOME LIGHT SPINDLE WEAR.
I HAVE PLAYED THE LP AT GREAT VOLUME AND IT WAS A PLEASURE TO LISTEN TO . IT SITS NICE AND FLAT ON THE TURNTABLE AND PLAYS THROUGH WITHOUT ANY SKIPS OR JUMPS. THERE IS SOME LIGHT BACKGROUND NOISE AND A COUPLE OF TICKS DURING "LET THERE BE MORE LIGHT" AND A COUPLE OF VERY SMALL ONES DURING THE TITLE TRACK BUT OVERALL THE AUDIO IS CLEAR AND VIBRANT. SO I AM HAPPY TO GRADE THE AUDIO AS VERY GOOD+.
THE GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE SLEEVE IS ON THE WHOLE GOOD++. THERE IS AN AREA OF WEAR ON THE SPINE [ABOUT 1INCH] AND TWO ON THE TOP [ABOUT 1INCH] AND SOME LIGHT WEAR TO THE CORNERS AND CREASING. THE COLOURS ON THE FRONT STILL LOOK GREAT.
OVERALL A NICE PLAYABLE COPY OF THIS RARE LP.

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk recorded/special delivery at a cost of £2.50. I will pay the extra. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 and will include international signed for as mandatory . Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc
