PINK FLOYD - SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS
on COLUMBIA RECORDS -SX6258 - MONO (1968) - very early UK 1st Pressing on "blue spot" Columbia label.
An extremely Rare 1968 first pressing issue of Pink Floyd's legendary second Album, with rare "patents pending" mono/stereo sleeve.
Heavyweight Vinyl is in very good condition. It has seen a fair amount of play, there are some very light marks but they do not affect play badly overall, I can only hear one as a light clicking for about a minute on song 1 side 2., othere than that it is fine, I have been listening to it and it sounds good albeit with some occasional noise and pops in places, but an overall pleasant listening experience. Blue and Black Columbia "Blue Spot" Labels are in very good condition, with some spindle wear and marks, there is a "KT" tax code embossed on label side 1.
The original laminated flipover sleeve printed by Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd. and designed by Hipgnosis is in very good condition, some light damage to the top right-hand corner. ( see photos) rare "patents pending" mark on lower right hand corner, and both stereo and mono numbers at bottom, though it is a mono sleeve at the top! The original emi/columbia advertising inner sleeve is in excellent condition, there is a slight split at the bottom.
matrix / pressing no's are : XAX 3634-1 (1-2 -H) and XAX 3635-1 (1-P) - very early pressing.
