Monster Rare Original 1974 UK 1st Press Hard Rock Psych / Progressive LP

Pinnacle "Assasin". Highly collectable and superb TOP CONDITION original UK 1st PRIVATE PRESS LP by this legendary early 70's British hard rock psych / prog band. Privately released in 1974 and pressed in extremely small numbers, this killer album has rightly become highly sought after in recent times! The album comes in its original 'NOR-GROUP DESIGN' fully laminated sleeve complete with original British Patent No.'Made In England' poly-lined inner sleeve. Note; The album title is a deliberate mis-spelling of ASSASSIN! 

Rare Original 1974 UK first pressing ! Fully laminated cover is EX with light wear, and the disc is in stone cold MINT condition!!

Raw, primitive, crude and violent bashing hard psych / prog hard n' heavy rock LP with freaky lead vocals that foretold the NWOBHM movement in the 80s. This is one of the best hardrock albums ever made and is A MUST FOR ALL YOU GUITAR COLLECTORS. One of the most collectable proto-metal albums of them all! A successor to LEAFHOUND. Hailed as a prog masterpiece - but really this is a heavy hard rock onslaught featuring lotsa great guitar & leanings towards psychedelic sabbath infused metal (if such a thing exists!). Great heavy riffing and excellent hooks, this is worthy of the attention it missed when issued! They tell you to "play at the maximum volume your speakers will allow", but I would say it's enjoyable at any volume actually - great sounds, well crafted and recorded, and obviously a capable band altogether. Why didn't a major lable like Vertigo pick them up?? Who knows - but it has made this a very rare piece indeed. Mega heavy prog. If you like monstrously heavy pounding riffs overlaid with a soaring guitar sound and insistant Sabbath style vocals then this is record is absolutely essential !!

(This very striking fully laminated cover is in EXCELLENT condition with two light creases on the front, one at the lower left and one near the open out edge. Also on the front near the open out edge there is a tiny white blister under the laminate, this has been there from new. On the top seam there is an almost unnoticeable tiny scuff. The spine is arrow straight and all text is fully legible and unworn. A very well preserved copy of this impossibly rare original 37 years vintage laminated sleeve)

Here is...PINNACLE...the famous HIGH WIRED guitar driven heavy-psycher...who shredded away the hardrock competition, and released this one lethal album (ASSASSIN) back in 1974:

This British hard rock group recorded and self-released their debut, and only LP in 1974, an album that has remained a hot collector's item amongst underground rock enthusiasts, for years. Don't let the scarceness of the album lead you to believe there is any secret tangent you have not heard before. Another one of those hard rock classics you just never see, until today! Legendary and hard to find UK psych/prog hard rock album from the 1970s. For fans of Sabbath, Atomic Rooster, Uriah Heep, Budgie, Hawkwind, Deep Purple, Black Widow etc...etc.. this album is a must! Using a unique power chords/Moog combo with tortured vocals it leaves a stunning impression, pummelling the listener into submission. I love that cover too! Countless U.K. rockers explored this hardrock territory in the '70s ....and if the mighty Pinnacle blew them all away, that was a hidden secret back then, only known to a small cult following.... now lying buried in the dusty closet of history, as a footnote for the hardcore collector.
These guys were certainly onto a fairly early HEAVYROCK sound somewhat similar to early Deep Purple, although I'm pretty sure this bands real biggest influence was the mighty Hawkwind in the early days with those pummeling raw rhythms driving away....
A very rare privately-pressed album by this infamous Liverpool heavy rock band. The mis-spelling of the title is theirs. Musically, this is a mindblowing primitive sonic assault, with pounding drums and bass and frenzied guitar/keyboards action. Mighty powerful stuff indeed. A sort of heavy progressive freaked out space metal long before there was such a thing! Clearly of interest to both heavy rock fans and serious collectors alike!

MINT (M): The record / cd displays barely any signs of use, if any, with no marks or deterioration in sound quality. Extra items and cover are near perfect.

EXCELLENT (EX): Shows only minor signs of being played with very little lessening in sound quality. The Cover and extras will have some light wear and or creasing

VERY GOOD (VG): Has been played many times but has no major deterioration in sound quality, despite some noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. Cover and extras will have normal wear and tear but no major defects

GOOD (G): Has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and any extras may suffer from folding, scuffing, split spine, discoloration etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable and has considerable surface noise and may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly. Covers badly damaged or partly missing
