Description

Here is the sole release from the trio Pitch. They were firmly implanted in the NYC no wave scene, and didn't really seem to know if they wanted to go toward a horn-oriented sound, or towards minimal electronics. The B-side is a bit of a loungy number somewhere between synthpop, funk, and lounge music. In actuality, it fits pretty well with the NY no wave scene (think Elliot Sharpe and the more brass-oriented bands he was in). The A side is the winner here, and is one of the unknown minimal synth gems that occasionally pops up out of nowhere. With completely blasse, vaguely foreign, and occasionally delay-effected spoken female vocals, random samples, a gurgling dublike synth bassline, and lazy synthesizer melodies, this sounds like a contemplative Young marble Giants during a heroin-induced trance.
You can read a bit more about it here:

Or listen to the 12" here:

The cover is VG+ with minor shelf wear; the vinyl is VG+ with some light surface marks and plays nice.
The songs are:
What Am I Gonna Do For Fun?
It's a Quest

If you want to hear any clips from this record or anything else I'm offering, please contact me via eBay!

I have LOTS and LOTS more records to come! Buy now, buy next week, and the week after that, and after that, and then wait a week, and then buy more!!!

I can ship multiple items at once, of course (for just a little bit more per each additional item). And I can wait to ship items if there are more items you're interested in bidding on! If you win multiple items, please wait for me to send the invoice (so you don't pay too much for shipping).

All records are shipped in secure carboard packages, are well-padded, and ship with the records outside of the sleeves and stored in a plastic outer sleeve to ensure safe delivery in the same condition in which they leave my house.
