Description

PIXIES - SURFER ROSA -  12"  LP.   4AD Records / Rough Trade Records.  1988.   US.   Catalog #CAD-803.   SIGNED IN GOLD MARKER BY THE ENTIRE BAND, HAD THEM SIGN IT WHEN WE DID A POSTER FOR THE BAND WHILE I WORKED AT ARTROCK.  Black Francis wrote "Have a Bitchin' Summer", Kimmy Deal wrote "Die with us soon", David Lovering wrote "What a Babe!", Joey Santiago signed his name.   Sleeve and vinyl mint-/mint, has been played almost never (looks new).

Hey collectors:  Here is the deal with all of these records.  When I bought a record I came home and immediately put the vinyl in a rice paper sleeve and saved all of the inserts and any paper sleeve that had printing on it.  Any generic paper white sleeve was pitched.  Then the jacket was put in a protective plastic sleeve (or the original shrinkwrap left on if it was loose) with the opening such that I could just pull out the vinyl in the rice paper inner sleeve, never again having to handle the jacket.  Note a single gatefold was used to roll joints.   As a result, everything is in great shape.  When played they were played on either a Harman-Kardon ST-8 straight tracking or a Rega turntable, always with a $300+ cartridge/stylus.  Never loaned records out.  Cleaned with Discwasher products only.  Even better is that these have been sitting in boxes since the end of 1995.
