PJ Harvey has a good strategy going, since every album is so utterly unmatchable she changes up the style for every new one, instead of even attempting to top something so perfect. This way, every one is great in different ways and no one is really inferior to the others. I'm not saying her style is all over the place or undefined, she keeps that distinct essence in all of her work but it manages to stay fresh and new and always intriguing.
