On 05-Jun-12 at 21:54:22 BST, seller added the following information:Dear bidders: As this item seems to be selling for a high price, I will add the following correspondence with a bidder:
"Hi, with a lot of pressings from more recent times there are anomalies (marks on the vinyl, discoloration strips and scuffs), none of these affect the audio but they do appear aesthetically. Can I ask that you hold the vinyl to bright light and angle it to see any blemishes. It is very rare for even unplayed vinyl to look mint (immaculate) and I would greatly appreciate if you could report what you see back to me. Lastly, is the sleeve without issues? Many thanks from a serious potential bidder."My response is as follows: Hello. There are some slight anomalies to the vinyl, one very slight scuff to one side, one slight mark to the other. Examining the LP is only the third time it has ever been removed from the packaging since the cellophane was removed, so these must be from the factory. In terms of the artwork, there is one small fold to the top corner which was due to the cellophane wrapping (now removed) and one small dent to the front cover (about 0.2cm long). If "mint" is taken to mean "as good as new; unplayed", then the record is indeed in mint condition, as the LP was put in a PVC sleeve for storage."
If bidders would prefer a conservative grading, it would be suggested as Ex +; I have no desire to mislead anybody. I can confirm, however, that the LP was removed from cellophane, the artwork looked at once, and then placed in a PVC sleeve. It has been out since twice; once to look at for the listing, and again to answer the above enquiry.
