Description
After 40 years of collecting it’s time for the collection to be enjoyed by others so December 2010 saw the first listings of 3,000+ items that need a good home.
Plastic Bertrand - Sha La La La Lee
This is a UK one sided acetate of the 1978 7” single. This original acetate was used to promote the single at Radio 1.
The acetate is in excellent condition.
ACETATE (Acetates are produced from a master tape recording. By electroplating the acetate master, stampers can be created, which in turn are used to press records. Acetates are also used for testing the quality of the tape-to-disc transfer. A typical acetate disc is an aluminum disc covered with a thin coating of nitrocellulose lacquer in which the sound groove is cut. Discs of this type can be played on any normal turntable but wear out very quickly.)
All photographs are of the actual record for sale.
For protection in transit the record will be posted in custom mailers with stiffeners. Vinyl protected in white sleeve with the picture sleeve enclosed in a polythene sleeve.

For UK based buyers there are three basic postage options (see Postage and Payments above). A Proof Of Posting Certificate or Recorded Delivery receipt will be obtained for all items sent. See below if your bid is over £41.00.

If an item goes missing a claim can be submitted to the Royal Mail however this subject to a Royal Mail investigation, a limited compensation figure and takes some time.
All items sent by Royal Mail are covered up to a maximum compensation equal to the cost of 100 first class stamps so that is £41.00 at the moment.
If your bid, including postage, is more than £41 then in order to be able to claim compensation of more that £41 it has to be sent Special Delivery Next Day at £5.50p for UK buyers.
