Description
"Home" Applause Records 277-02 from 1978, Illinois. Killer outrageous homemade self-produced, almost all original tunes (plus a goofball Dixie novelty rendition of "Rock Of Ages"). Three tunes are mellower rock, one (Soul Brother) is a surprising funk/soul tune with wah-wah and a fuzz wow break. The rest is psych...loaded with HEAVY FUZZ GUITAR, plus some phase shift, sound effects and heavy reverb vocals. It does have some horn, but it doesn't get in the way of the psych at all . Various psych styling...rural, hard edged, garagy & STONER, especially trhe tripped out "Not So Cheap Thrills" Excellent tunes, solid musicianship and vocals with some great harmonies...plus some rough edges, sometimes giving it a raw quality. Has some SMOKIN' FUZZ SOLOS.....Includes an insert with production & lyric detail. VERY RARE & OBSCURE & RECORDED AT CRUSADE STUDIOS, FLORA, ILLINOIS, THE HOME OF THE ULTRA-RARE GARAGE MONSTER..."FARM". This copy was sealed..I opened it to play & it;s been played ONLY ONCE.
