Description
A nice original copy of the Gumbo! album by Pony Poindexter on Prestige (PR 16001). This one also features Booker Ervin, Al Grey, Gildo Mahones, George Tucker and Jimmy Smith.
The yellow and black labels read "Prestige Records, Inc. 203 South Washington Ave., Bergenfield. N.J." "VAN GELDER" is machine-etched in the trail off. The matrix reads "PR 16001." The notation "PRLP 7298" also appears in the trail off (hand-etched).
The cover is clean with minimal ring wear. All of the corners are dinged; the bottom right is creased by about two inches. On the back cover, along the top of the open edge there is some light browning/discoloration.
The vinyl is VG+ (8 out of 10, overall this one looks unplayed aside from a couple light paper scuffs/marks). This LP comes from a non-smoking home. The record you see in the picture is the record you will receive.
Shipping will be $4.00 for media mail in the U.S. I ship internationally -- but prefer that international bidders contact me first. I usually ship within 24 hours of receiving payment. I will combine shipping if you win multiple items. Also, I tend to recycle boxes, but I always make sure to pack items, particularly records, securely.
